Sign the petition. Write letters. You can take action and make a difference.
Write to the Council, your Councillor, the Planning Department, local press, and cabinet members to let them know your concerns. If you live outside the ward or Islington you will might still feel the impact and want to voice your concerns.
Every email AND letter counts!
Letters and emails voicing objections will make a difference to the Council and SevenCapital as they take the plans forward. This will be particularly important once SevenCapital submit their planning application (which they say will be early Summer 2023). Please write!
Messages are most effective when they come from individuals and are in their own words (which is why we're not providing a template or examples here). Every person in the household can write!
Stress your concerns about damage to the history of the site, the loss of greenspace, sustainability, overcrowding, viability of the plan, visual impact on local parks and residents, loss of light, wind blight, overstretched infrastructure, etc. There's no right way to write – just say what you think.
Whatever your particular concerns, the bottom-line issue is over-development.
Whether you're overwhelmed by the northernmost building, think the tower will make Archway into Gotham City, or are worried about catching the tube during the morning rush hour, the root cause is that the Council and SevenCapital are trying to fit 1,000+ people onto the site without a viable plan. Make sure to tell them: It's too much!
